CNP had a major media presence in 2007. CNP President Tim Roemer made frequent television appearances throughout the year to discuss national security issues on programs like MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olberman, CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, FOX’s America’s Newsroom and CBS’s Evening News with Katie Couric, in addition to numerous interviews aired on NPR radio programs. CNP also had events covered by C-SPAN. Roemer’s national security op-eds appeared in major publications including the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, and Roll Call, and he was quoted in articles written by the Associated Press and USA Today, just to name a few. CNP`s Vice-President Scott Bates had a regular presence on Connecticut`s talk radio stations and as a regular on the statewide television show “Connecticut Newsmakers.” He spoke about the war on terror and Iraq to a variety of television and radio audiences from Canada to Qatar.
