Presidential Politics: The Role of Nominating Conventions

On February 27, 2008 CNP hosted two experts on presidential nominating conventions – a crucial topic as the United States picks a new president in 2008. Frank Fahrenkopf, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, and Ambassador Chuck Mannatt, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, shared their unique perspectives with the CNP audience, and helped better explain the historical role that conventions have played in America’s political process.
